This tea is magic. It supports the immune system, aids digestion, and is good for reducing inflammation. It works extremely well as a hangover cure and for fighting off colds.
It’s ingredients include:
Lemon: Good source of vitamin C, aids digestion and helps maintain the body’s pH levels
Cinnamon: Digestive and circulatory stimulant, a strong antimicrobial with powerful antibacterial and antifungal properties
Ginger: Increases blood flow, reduces inflammation and stimulates digestion
Turmeric: Anti-inflammatory, aids digestion, eases chronic pain, a good liver remedy. Turmeric is one of the few anti-inflammatories that cross the blood-brain barrier, and studies show it may be effective for inflammation-induced depression
Black pepper: Promotes circulation, aids digestion, and helps the body absorb curcumin (turmeric)
Cayenne: Aids digestion
½ a lemon, juiced
1 garlic clove, peeled + smashed
1” knob of fresh ginger, peeled
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon turmeric
A couple grinds of fresh black pepper
Dash of cayenne
Drizzle of honey (optional)
Place all ingredients in a mug + add hot water.
Quantities are for 1 large mug, if you want to make it in a small teapot, double the recipe.
